APPLICATION
This is the application form for the Statistical Training to Enhance the Excellence of Research (STEER) program in Biomedical Sciences, an NIH-funded T32 predoctoral training program. Trainees are selected based on their academic performance, research interests, and career goals. Applicants should submit the following items:
A two-page Research Plan that outlines a proposed research project,
A one-page Career Goals Summary that describes how the research project relates to the candidate’s career goals,
Transcripts from undergraduate and graduate education,
An NIH-style biosketch, and
Additionally, applicants should arrange for two letters of support to be sent directly by their faculty mentors—one from statistics/biostatistics and one from the biomedical sciences. Each letter should express support for the trainee’s research and outline the mentor’s plans for the candidate’s career development and continued training. Instructions for submitting the letters are provided after you submit the following form.
